9:00 am – 6:00 pm: Hopkins Rugby Tournament @ Maetzold Field

Featuring boys and girls high school rugby teams and a middle school showcase. Coaches’ meeting/players gather at 8:30 a.m., games begin at 9 a.m. For more information, visit www.hopkinsrugby.com.

9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Marketplace Fair @ Mainstreet, Hopkins

The entire community of Hopkins turns out on Mainstreet for Family Day to enjoy food, music and dozens of vendors displaying their crafts. There are family oriented activities available in Central Park.

The Marketplace Arts and Craft Fair takes place on Mainstreet between 6th and 14th Avenues and includes: vendors, local business displays, artists with crafts, clothing, art, woodwork, merchandise, food and beverages. There is plenty to do at this event so come early and shop! This event is held rain or shine.

9:00 am – 3:30 pm: Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive @ Mainstreet, Hopkins

Help keep families together and healthy by making a blood donation. A Minnesota-based, independent nonprofit, they supply life-saving blood, state-of-the-art laboratory services and biomedical expertise around the country and the world. Donate a pint of blood and receive a free pint of Raspberries!

9:00 am – 4:00 pm: Men’s Softball Tournament @ Central Park

This one day, double-elimination men’s tournament will have games played at Central Park in Hopkins and Big Willow Park in Minnetonka. Registration is limited to the first 12 teams. Teams must register by July 6 under the team manager’s account. Registration is available under course 3200602 through the Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services website.

9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Raspberry Breakfast for $3.86 @ Wild Boar

The Wild Boar hosts the Hopkins Raspberry Association pull tabs and meat raffles, as well as sponsors the annual fireworks show on the evening of Family Day. Come support this Hopkins business that has been a steadfast supporter of the Raspberry Festival since opening its doors in 2011.

10:00 am – 3:00 pm: Celebration of Community @ Hopkins Center for the Arts

The Hopkins Police Department has brought back Celebration of Community on Family Day. Visit the Center for the Arts for cultural exhibits, music, food, dance, crafts and storytelling from various members of the Hopkins community.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Hopkins Cruisers Big Wheels for Hot Meals @ Mainstreet, Hopkins

Kids ages 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 race for a chance to bring home their very own Big Wheel racer. Not only is the event a great way to get kids excited about racing and the Hopkins Cruisers, it is also a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. In addition, food donations are accepted for ICA Food Shelf. 10:00 am – 4:00 pm: Raspberry Festival of Bands @ Downtown Park

The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band invites you to come to Hopkins to enjoy the many Family Day activities on Mainstreet and to stop in at Downtown Park where you can relax in the shade and enjoy the band music. Additional information can be found here.

11:00 am – 5:00 pm: Hopkins Cruisers Car Show @ Mainstreet, Hopkins

Classic cars from all decades are in attendance to bring back memories of Hopkins’ days past when Mainstreet was once filled with dealerships, repair shops and filling stations. It truly was ‘the’ car town. Early Local Hopkins musicians will perform throughout the day.

11:30 am – 3:30 pm: Soap Box Derby @ Hilltop Park

Soap Box Derby racing consists of a non-motorized car that is launched from a ramp on top of a hill. Gaining speeds at approximately 35 miles per hour, drivers are timed to determine the winner of each race. Double elimination is used to send a racer from the challenger bracket and off to win the overall heat. The Soap Box Derby is held at 19th Avenue North and 4th Street North. There is a 60 car limit, ages 6 – 16. There is an entry fee of $25 per person. The entry fee includes a car kit and building instructions.

4:00 pm – 10:00 pm: Families in Central Park Kids Activities @ Central Park

Conceived with families in mind, art activities, demonstrations, inflatable rides, food trucks and musical entertainment are brought together to offer all members of the family an afternoon of entertainment.

4:00pm – 6:00pm – Enjoy a kids dance party thrown by the Pledge Party Team
7:00pm – 10:30pm – Belladiva. Belladiva is a powerhouse with 16 years of experience, talent and artistry. This dynamic 10 piece show band features an accomplished ensemble of singers and musicians who cover a wide variety of music from pop, R&B, rock, country, and disco. Belladiva will keep you entertained until the fireworks show at 10:00pm!
At 10:00 pm, the band yields to the fireworks show synchronized to music. Central Park fills with people each year for the show, so come early to stake your spot, enjoy the entertainment and sample the food choices at this culminating event for Family Day of the Hopkins Raspberry Festival.

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm: Hennepin County 4-H Showcase @ Central Park

4-H kids develop new skills and ways to express themselves through fun, hands-on activities. Working on projects that interest them helps connect kids with their friends, families, communities and the world. Come see projects from youth around the county showcased in Hopkins Central Park.

6:00 pm: Hopkins Cruisers Annual Reunion Cruise @ Mainstreet, Hopkins

Memories of the glory days of cruising Hopkins Mainstreet in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are brought back each Raspberry Festival with a reunion cruise after the Arts and Crafts fair clears out. Come watch the cruisers roll by – or better yet, come cruise with them and be a part of this storied tradition.

7:00 pm – 10:30 pm: Central Park Mainstage @ Central Park

Belladiva is a powerhouse with 16 years of experience, talent and artistry. This dynamic 10 piece show band features an accomplished ensemble of singers and musicians who cover a wide variety of music from pop, R&B, rock, country, and disco. Belladiva will keep you entertained until the fireworks show at 10:00pm!

8:30 pm: JCI Hopkins Street Dance – Featuring TBD @ 9th Avenue S 1/2 block south of Mainstreet

JCI Hopkins is an organization providing professional and personal growth through training, networking, and community involvement. Membership is open to men and women ages 18-40. Beer, and food trucks are provided for those over 21.

10:00 pm: Fireworks @ Central Park

Wild Boar Bar and Grill proudly sponsors the 9th annual Hopkins Raspberry Festival fireworks display in Central Park! At 10:00 pm, the Mainstage band synchronizes its music to this spectacular fireworks show! Hopkins’ Central Park fills with people each year for the show.
