Join us for the main event – the Charlotte StrEATs Festival, a part of Charlotte SHOUT! Attendees can celebrate the city’s culinary scene at this FREE event! The festival will feature a special appearance from Chef Aarón Sánchez! Aarón is an award-winning chef, TV personality, author and philanthropist. His television career spans over two decades starring on hit shows such as Food Network’s Chopped and the Emmy-nominated series Taco Trip. A James Beard Award winner, Aarón is the chef/owner of several restaurants throughout the U.S. including Johnny Sánchez, Showbird and Adobo Cantina.
Aarón will be doing a cooking demonstration as well as emceeing our Neighborhood Cook-off! These battles will pit chefs head-to-head in a cook-off to win the title of StrEATs Neighborhood Champion.
While you are taking in all the culinary talent on our stage, make sure you shop our carefully curated artisan market featuring some of the city’s top culinary vendors, enjoy food trucks, music, art, and more! We will also have wristbands available for purchase to participate in our craft cocktail tasting.

2:30 p.m. – Cooking demonstration from Chef Aarón Sánchez followed by brief meet & greet
3:15 p.m. – Neighborhood Cook-off Final Battle, followed by the awarding of the 2024 Neighborhood Cook-off Champion
4:15 p.m. – Cooking demonstration from Sam Diminich, Restaurant Constance
4:30 p.m. – Artist Silver Sells will reveal her live painting. Last call for alcohol
5:00 p.m. – Farewell, event over
