Trail Talks, Vendors, Food Trucks, Silent Auction, and More.

This is the festival where the Georgia trails community comes together - hikers, mountain bikers, kayakers, trail runners, equestrians, campers, jeep and RV enthusiasts - everyone is welcome! We will have multiple trail related vendors, educational trail talks, food trucks, and hard cider from Reece's Cider Co.

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Benton Mackaye Trail Association 2024

To preserve, protect, and maintain the Benton MacKaye Trail. We will be giving you updates on exciting things happening with the Benton MacKaye Trail Association both locally and nationally.

1:00pm - 2:00pm - Georgia Appalachian Trail Club 2024

Georgia Appalachian Trail Club manages, maintains, and protects the Appalachian National Scenic Trail in Georgia with volunteers from its membership and the interested public.

1:00pm - 2:00pm - Brent Binion

"Getting Excited about Leave No Trace" In this session you will learn how you can enjoy the wilderness responsibly by learning more about how to recognize and minimize your impacts. We will review the seven "Leave No Trace" principles and discuss how these apply in a variety of outdoor activities.

2:00pm - 3:00pm - Anne Van Curen as Grandma Gatewood 2024

Actress Anne Van Curen transforms into Emma "Grandma" Gatewood to describe what it was like to be the first woman to solo hike the Appalachian Trail in 1955. The dramatization is based off of the book "Grandma Gatewood's Walk", which was written from accounts of Gatewood's surviving family members.
